"Black Politics with Chris Owens", airing Saturdays 11:00am – 12:00pm EST is a one-hour, weekly radio program. "Black Politics" can be heard in many media markets (including DC, Chicago, LA and NY) or you can listen right here by clicking on "Listen Live" at 11:00 AM each Saturday. You can also hear the program every Saturday evening on XM Satellite Radio, Channel 167 at 8:00 PM. "Black Politics" aims to be the program of record on Black political thought and happenings. BP will highlight both national and world events, calling upon Congressional Black Caucus members, reporters and writers, celebrities and artists, political analysts and pundits, and grassroots community representatives and activists. BP is built around interviews and media roundtables, addresses presidential politics, health care, education, war spending, economics, human rights, and the concerns of Americans from all walks of life.

Your host, Chris Owens, is a political activist and local community leader in New York City. A former candidate for Congress and community school board member, Chris has worked in the public, private and non-profit sectors and served as Campaign Manager for retired Rep. Major Owens (D-NY) for many years. Chris is also a musician. The theme music for "Black Politics with Chris Owens" and other original songs heard during the program are by Chris Owens.
