So far McCain has accused Obama of "paling around with terrorists" and "wanting to teach hard core sex to 5 year olds" among other outrageous slander.

Yet, it's the McCain crowd that cries "racism" even as Republican polititions call Obama and his lovely wife, "uppity".

But then something weird happens: He acknowledges the “energy” people have been showing at rallies, and how glad he is that people are excited. But, he says, “I respect Sen. Obama and his accomplishments.” People booed at the mention of his name. McCain, visibly angry, stopped them: “I want EVERYONE to be respectful, and lets make sure we are.”…

And then later, again, someone dangled a great big piece of low-hanging fruit in front of McCain: “I’m scared to bring up my child in a world where Barack Obama is president.”

McCain replies, “Well, I don’t want him to be president, either. I wouldn’t be running if I did. But,” and he pauses for emphasis, “you don’t have to be scared to have him be President of the United States.” A round of boos…

UPDATE: Indeed, he just snatched the microphone out the hands of a woman who began her question with, “I’m scared of Barack Obama… he’s an Arab terrorist…”

“No, no ma’am,” he interrupted. “He’s a decent family man with whom I happen to have some disagreements.”

I think

the word that the White Trash grandma was reaching for was not "A-rab" but "MOO-slim." I think she was afraid to say "MOO-slim" and instead said "A-rab." To McCain's credit he shut her down. But I notice that McCain said that Obama was a "decent, citizen, family man." Notice that Grandma Shotgun's question did not involve nationality. Do you suppose she strayed off her script? And that McCain gave the rehearsed answer?

Several days ago , I brought up that on right wing radio shows , listeners would say that obama was a Muslim and a terrorist, and not one host would correct them, I was not talking about slogans, but out right lies. Obama has also said that McCain is a war hero, but they have different ideas to where the nation should go.

That women among other people are scared because they do believe , the propaganda that has spread , first by his name, which lead to him being a Muslim and then by meeting bill ayers, which he met under a Republican foundation , A foundation that is for the betterment for the community.

If you heard these things, you should be able to post the date and time and which show. All those programs can be heard, so that I can verify your statements. I have never heard anything remotely close to the original statement by hufflarry. Apparently you have, so come on now, provide proof. Don't just make statements that can't be verified. McCain's terrorist associations...

John McCain needs to explain his terrorist association. A few months ago he attended a fundraiser cohosted by a direct party to funding terrorist in Colombia. The cohost he associated with is Carl Lindner, a former excutive at Chiquita Brands International. The fundraiser cost $25,000 a person to attend, and is believed to have yeilded about $2M for McCain.

Lindner's company funded both left and right wing terrorist groups, including FARC which McCain himself described "as one of the worst" terrorist organizations in the world. After a US Justice Department probe, Lindner's company admitted their guilt and paid a $25 millon fine. So McCain needs to explain why he pals around with folks who fund terrorists, and why he's taking their money to run his presidentail campaign?

IMHO

It took him long enough to do this. He should have done this weeks ago. Threats of violence against Obama have been growing in the Republican crowds. He was accused of condoning it by his silence. If anything happens to Obama, he can at least claim he didn't want it to happen.

Why did the Secret Service remove the metal detectors at an Obama rally in Dallas? Could it be that Bush wants someone to sneak a gun in?
