I agree Ron .. this was quite a presumptive statement by big John.

Kieth Olbermann had a great segment about this last night.
Apparently, one of McCain's main foriegn policy advisers is a lobbist for the state of Georgia.
I believe he was paid $ 200,000 in lobbying fees shortly after McCain made a speech strongly defending Georgia back in April.

Was McCain acting in Georgia's best interest or the United States?
Don't you think this lobbying connection this is a serious conflict of interest?

The information in Western Europe and the USA/Britain are very different.

The facts in this war are that here Mr. Sakaschwili made the biggest mistake of his life. On the day of his aggression against Soth Ossetia he had an official meeting wiht South Ossetian leaders. Their trust is gone for years.

What we know from the last 2 years is that a lot of ammunition found the way from Iraq to Georgia.
Israeli and US military trainers are in Georgia for years. The Israeli Trainers left a few days before invasion.
Sakaschwili has an Israeli and US passport.

The number of deaths in this war is 5 times lower as in every US report is noticed. We know that for sure
that in Hospitals in South Ossetia - doctors reported in 4 days. 44 deaths and around 270 injured people.
There are more deaths but far below 1000 People.

The US Position to support Georgia is nice ut like Mr. Lawrow said more virtual than action in real life.
This sounds bad for the US is true. If NATO want Georgia as member they need a standing force there with at least
100'000 People. Half of them in Georgia and the rest in Turkey and Bulgaria/Romania.

The best position for Georgia would be a neutral one in my mind like Sweden or Switzerland.

The US "defense shield" shielded absolutley nothing in this war. It's a virtual project which gives you a virtual
security. But in real life you have a problem when Airplanes drop bombes and a few tanks went in.

The third and more complicated part of this war kills our economy. A this time billions of Euros, Dollars are invested in Moscow and Russia rom Intel to SUN they have manufacturing/engineering companies in Russia.
Investment Funds held a ton of money in this area.
Western Europe delivers medical equipment everything in the last 6 years. German/French/Italian Russian Trade increased more than 4 times.

The times are long gone when Western Europe is selling to USA.
The Russian are selling Oil to the West and East China - if someone thinking boycott would be a great idea think twice.

John McCain anit-Russia position is notorious and not helpful.
